Index Fungorum number: IF28835; 2 morphological species (Species Fungorum 2020).


Type species: Ayria appendiculata Fryar & K.D. Hyde

Notes: Ayria was collected from decaying wood submerged in brackish and seawater. Another species, A. nubispora Raja, Ferrer & Shearer, was isolated from decorticated woody debris submerged in a lake (Raja et al. 2009). There is no sequence data for either species and the family placement need confirmation.
